My recent move is complete and I am back at my bench and ready to make your next piece of one-of-a-kind jewelry!

The purpose of the wear-horses website is to show you some of the jewelry and adornments for people, their horses, and their horsey friends that I design and create in gold or silver, some with precious stones. Most items will have a description as to how they were made, what metal they are made from, and other pertinent information. Many of the pieces I make are hand forged from wire, sheet and/or barstock sterling silver, or 14 or 18 karat gold. These items are distinct in that while I may make more than one, they are fabricated one at a time, and each has a life of its own.

My cast pieces are made using the lost wax method, utilizing my original wax carvings. Although one of a kind pieces may be cast, such things as the fittings for my horsehair bracelets have been cast and a mold made of them so that there will be uniformity for fitting the braids.

It is a lot of fun making in miniature the many items connected with horses and their accoutrements, whether they be English, Western, Driving, Racing, Show, or Pleasure. I have had a lifelong association with horses. From rackin' to racin', they have been the driving force in my life. It is only natural for the horses to provide the main inspiration for my jewelry creations. I make very limited productions of my pieces, with many being one-of-a-kind. Some pieces I have in stock, but most are made to order to give you the latitude to have it "your way". Even my horsehair pieces are one-of-a-kind, since they are made from your horse's hair, and their uniqueness lies in the individual DNA of your horse. In the horsehair section you will find some of the unusual pieces that I make to remember that special horse in your life.

My shop is a typical crafter's haven with many of its tools made by me, and a wax carving niche where many of my designs have their beginning. In general, it is a fun place for me to hang out and make my inspirations become a reality.
